UPC/EAN and Java Product Updates

UPC/EAN Font Advantage Package Update:

We have recently updated our UPC/EAN Font Advantage Package with the following improvements:

  • UPC-E function will allow automatic switching to number system 1.
  • Added support for encoding UPCE number of 6, 7 or 8 digits.
  • Improved accuracy in the printed image with precise pixel mapping font technology.
  • Enhanced printing quality to low resolution printers.
  • Updated VBA code and Crystal DLL included.
  • Includes non-human-readable fonts.

Java Barcode Package Update:

We have recently updated the linear version of our Java Barcode Packages with the following improvements:

  • Enhancements to the POSTNET, Planet, Code 128, UCC128, Code 39, and Interleaved 2 of 5 symbologies.
  • More efficient and consistent rotation algorithms.
  • New Features include:
    • New USPS OneCode symbology added.
    • Character grouping - which allows the human readable text to be grouped together in 3, 4, or 5 character groups for easier readability.
    • Bearer Bars - Horizontal and vertical bearer bar options are
      now available. Thickness of the bars is configurable from 0 (default) to 10 times the XDimension.
    • Text Margin - The space between the human readable text and the barcode.
    • White Bar Increase - Increases the XDimension of the white bars only. This will aid in ensuring readability of barcodes printed with lower resolution printers.

IDAutomation.com Announces Support for the USPS OneCode Solution 4-State Customer Barcode.

(Tampa, FL.) IDAutomation.com, Inc. announces the release of their PostNet and OneCode Barcode Font Package. USPS OneCode (also known as the 4-State Customer Barcode, 4CB, 4-CB, OneCode Solution Barcode and USPS4CB) is a height-modulated barcode designed for use in high speed, automated, mail sorting machines that allow both PLANET and POSTNET barcode information to be combined into a single barcode to track mailings, request address-quality services (including updated address-change information) and return-mail service. The unique encoding used in IDAutomation's Postnet Fonts allows printing of Postnet and OneCode with the same font.
